After careful consideration, and many discussions with the host venue, it was determined that SAM 2021 would best be presented as a hybrid conference. For the purposes of SAM 2021, hybrid meant that ultimately, the choice was up to attendees: Do you prefer to be a part of SAM 2021 education in person or virtually?

Due to social distancing requirements, and to best provide for attendees’ safety, only 400 podiatric physician attendees were eligible to register for in-person, on-site education. Seating for the conference lectures adhered to social distance guidelines. Masks were required. Food and beverage service rules were followed. Our host hotel, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, is well-versed in COVID-19 safety measures as they have hosted organizations like the NBA. For those who did not wish to register to attend in person, SAM 2021 educational programming was also provided virtually.

FPMA’s commitment to provide continuing education for our members and attendees, while also ensuring a safe learning environment, was of paramount importance. The safety and well-being of all attendees was of utmost concern and remained our prevailing priority.
